Hands can tell us more, than we expected

It is becoming more and more difficult to express true emotions in the modern world, as anyone can hide behind the screen of their phones. Therefore, the main theme of this graphic series is the attempt to show true emotions through gesture-symbols, which often acquire mystical content … Sometimes it‘s deeper than we expected or want to be shown.

Also, the powerful connection between printmaking, its creation, and content (the image itself) opens up a whole range of new meanings. After all, creating work in an intaglio technique involves a large number of processes where the artist’s hands are the main tool. This interaction between art and artist is superlative.

In this graphic series combine a few printmaking technique – mezzotint, aquatint, etching and author’s technique.
